Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities

स्थूलाक्ष: शबलाक्षश्न कण्वो मेधातिथि: कृश: । नारद: पर्वतश्चैव सुधन्वाथैकतो द्विज:

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

sthūlākṣaḥ śabalākṣaś ca kaṇvo medhātithiḥ kṛśaḥ |

nāradaḥ parvataś caiva sudhanvāthaikato dvijaḥ ||

ໄວສັມປາຍະນະ ກ່າວວ່າ: «ໃນບັນດາລະສີເຫຼົ່ານັ້ນ ມີ ສະຖູລາກສະ, ສະບະລາກສະ, ກັນວະ, ເມທາຕິຖິ, ແລະ ກຣິສະ; ທັງຍັງມີ ນາຣະດະ ແລະ ປະຣະວະຕະ ພ້ອມດ້ວຍ ສຸທັນວາ ແລະ ພຣາຫມະນ ເອກະຕະ»។ ຕອນນີ້ ມະຫາກາບຍະສືບຕໍ່ລຽນນາມລະສີຜູ້ຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່ດ້ວຍຄວາມເຄົາລົບ—ຜູ້ຝຶກຕະປະສະຍາ ແລະ ຮັກສາຄວາມຮູ້ສັກສິດ ຜູ້ສືບທອດທັມມະ—ເພື່ອຊີ້ວ່າ ອໍານາດທາງສິນທຳໃນ «ມະຫາພາຣະຕະ» ຕັ້ງຢູ່ເທິງຄໍາພະຍານ ແລະ ການປະຈັກຂອງນັກເຫັນຄວາມຈິງ.
