It gives practical Ayurvedic therapeutics: using śaktupiṇḍī and acidic preparations (āmlā) to enhance digestion (pācana), and applying neem powder for healing after opening/draining a mature abscess.
Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana preserves applied medical know-how—dietetic digestion aids and wound-care measures—showing its broad, handbook-like coverage of life sciences.
By supporting health through dharmic, non-harmful remedies and proper care of suppurative conditions, the teaching aligns bodily well-being with the broader puranic ideal of sustaining one’s capacity for duty, worship, and disciplined living.
