FAQs

It teaches pūjā-prayoga: arranging core offerings (gandha, puṣpa, akṣata), mantra-consecrating dūrvā and arghya, then performing samprokṣaṇa (sprinkling) to purify oneself and the worship articles.

It preserves precise, step-by-step liturgical technique—how to prepare, empower, and purify ritual substances—showing the Agni Purana’s coverage of practical temple/home worship manuals alongside its many other disciplines.

Mantra-empowered arghya and prokṣaṇa function as ritual purification (śuddhi), removing impurity/obstacles before worship and ensuring the offering-substances become fit (yogya) for divine reception, thereby strengthening merit from the pūjā.
