एवमुक्त्वा महाभागा सखीगणसमावृता । गत्वा प्रभासक्षेत्रं सा प्रतिष्ठाप्य महेश्वरम् । गौरीश्वरेति विख्यातं पूजयंती विधानतः
evamuktvā mahābhāgā sakhīgaṇasamāvṛtā | gatvā prabhāsakṣetraṃ sā pratiṣṭhāpya maheśvaram | gaurīśvareti vikhyātaṃ pūjayaṃtī vidhānataḥ
ಇಂತೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಮಹಾಭಾಗ್ಯವತಿಯಾದ ದೇವಿ ಸಖೀಗಣದಿಂದ ಆವರಿತಳಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಭಾಸಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಳು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹೇಶ್ವರಲಿಂಗವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿ, ‘ಗೌರೀಶ್ವರ’ ಎಂದು ಖ್ಯಾತವಾದ ಅದನ್ನು ವಿಧಿವಿಧಾನದಿಂದ ಪೂಜಿಸಿದಳು।
