ईश्वर उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि लिंगं वै हाटकेश्वरम् । नलेश्वरात्पूर्वभागे शतधन्वंतरद्वये

ಈಶ್ವರನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಅನಂತರ, ಓ ಮಹಾದೇವಿ, ನಲೇಶ್ವರದ ಪೂರ್ವಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ನೂರು ಧನುಷ್ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ‘ಹಾಟಕೇಶ್ವರ’ ಲಿಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು।
