ततः कृष्णाजिने बद्ध्वा कुण्डले न्यस्य भूतले । आरुरोह फलाकांक्षी स मुनिः क्षुधयाऽन्वितः
tataḥ kṛṣṇājine baddhvā kuṇḍale nyasya bhūtale | āruroha phalākāṃkṣī sa muniḥ kṣudhayā'nvitaḥ
ನಂತರ ಅವನು ಕಪ್ಪು ಮೃಗಚರ್ಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಂಡಲಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕಿ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಫಲಗಳ ಆಸೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹಸಿವಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಒತ್ತಡಗೊಂಡ ಆ ಮುನಿ (ಮರಕ್ಕೆ) ಏರಿದನು.
