ततस्त्रेतायुगे जातस्त्रिपादो धर्म एव च । चिरायुषो नरास्तस्मिन्रक्तवर्णो जनार्दनः
tatastretāyuge jātastripādo dharma eva ca | cirāyuṣo narāstasminraktavarṇo janārdanaḥ
ನಂತರ ತ್ರೇತಾಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಧರ್ಮವು ತ್ರಿಪಾದವಾಗಿ (ಮೂರು ಪಾದಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಾಗಿ) ಪ್ರಾದುರ್ಭವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಚಿರಾಯುಷಿಗಳಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಜನಾರ್ದನ (ವಿಷ್ಣು) ರಕ್ತವರ್ಣನಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
