tasmātkuru prasādaṃ no yathā syāddāruṇaṃ viṣam | no cedvayaṃ gamiṣyāmaḥ sarvaloka parābhavam
An unspecified group petitioning Maṅkaṇaka (contextually beings affected by the curse/boon—likely serpentine beings or those fearing poison)
Type: kund
Scene: A group of anxious beings plead with a powerful ascetic/holy figure, hands folded, as a dark ‘poison-cloud’ is symbolically held at bay; the setting hints at a lakeside tīrtha.
When destructive consequences threaten many, humility and seeking grace are presented as the dharmic response.
The plea belongs to the same Sārasvata-hrada/Ānandeśvara tīrtha cycle narrated in this chapter.
No formal ritual is described; it is a direct supplication for prasāda to avert poison.
