ततो बहुतिथे काले केशवेन पुरा स्मृतः । स्रष्टुकामेन विविधाः प्रजा मनसि राजसीः

Transliteration

tato bahutithe kāle keśavena purā smṛtaḥ | sraṣṭukāmena vividhāḥ prajā manasi rājasīḥ

Translation

ನಂತರ ಬಹುಕಾಲವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪುರಾತನ ಕೇಶವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದನು; ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಇಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದ ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಜೋಗುಣಪ್ರೇರಿತ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದವು।
