। सूत उवाच । ततः सोऽपि महीपालः क्षुत्पिपामासमाकुलः । पपात धरणीपृष्ठे पद्भ्यां गत्वा वनांतरम्
| sūta uvāca | tataḥ so'pi mahīpālaḥ kṣutpipāmāsamākulaḥ | papāta dharaṇīpṛṣṭhe padbhyāṃ gatvā vanāṃtaram
ಸೂತನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ನಂತರ ಆ ಭೂಪಾಲನು ಹಸಿವು-ಬಾಯಾರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ವ್ಯಾಕುಲನಾಗಿ, ಕಾಲ್ನಡಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಣ್ಯಾಂತರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಭೂಮಿಪೃಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದನು।
