स्थापयामास विप्रेंद्राः श्रद्धया परया युतः । ततश्चानीय विप्रेंद्रं मध्यगं नागरोद्भवम् । गर्तातीर्थसमुद्भूतमाहिताग्निं प्रयाजिनम् । यथैतन्नगरस्थानं तथा त्वमपि दीक्षितः
sthāpayāmāsa vipreṃdrāḥ śraddhayā parayā yutaḥ | tataścānīya vipreṃdraṃ madhyagaṃ nāgarodbhavam | gartātīrthasamudbhūtamāhitāgniṃ prayājinam | yathaitannagarasthānaṃ tathā tvamapi dīkṣitaḥ
ಓ ವಿಪ್ರೇಂದ್ರರೇ! ಪರಮ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ಯುಕ್ತನಾಗಿ ಅವನು (ಲಿಂಗವನ್ನು) ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ನಂತರ ಗರ್ತಾತೀರ್ಥದಿಂದ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದ, ನಾಗರರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥ, ಆಹಿತಾಗ್ನಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಯಜ್ಞಕರ್ತನಾದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣನನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿ—“ಇದು ನಗರಸ್ಥಾನವಾದಂತೆ, ನೀನೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಧಿಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಿತನಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಷ್ಠಿತನಾಗು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು।
