यस्मिन्दृष्टे तु लोकानां पापं याति दिनोद्भवम् । नते षाण्मासिकं चैव पूजिते वर्षसंभवम् । ऋषय ऊचुः । पिप्पलादेन यल्लिंगं स्थापितं सूतनन्दन । कंसारेश्वरमित्युक्तं कस्मात्तच्च ब्रवीहि नः
yasmindṛṣṭe tu lokānāṃ pāpaṃ yāti dinodbhavam | nate ṣāṇmāsikaṃ caiva pūjite varṣasaṃbhavam | ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | pippalādena yalliṃgaṃ sthāpitaṃ sūtanandana | kaṃsāreśvaramityuktaṃ kasmāttacca bravīhi naḥ
ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಜನರ ದಿನದಿಂದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಹುಟ್ಟುವ ಪಾಪ ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದರೆ ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳ ಸಂಚಿತ ಪಾಪ ಕ್ಷಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಅದನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದರೆ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಪಾಪವೂ ದೂರವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ। ಋಷಿಗಳು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಓ ಸೂತನಂದನ! ಪಿಪ್ಪಲಾದನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದ ಆ ಲಿಂಗವನ್ನು ‘ಕಂಸಾರೇಶ್ವರ’ ಎಂದು ಏಕೆ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ? ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು।
