ಆ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮರ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ವಧಿಸಲು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ ಆಯುಧವನ್ನು ಧೀಮಂತ ವಸಿಷ್ಠನು ಅಥರ್ವಣಮಂತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಂಭಿತಗೊಳಿಸಿದನು; ಆಗ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆವರು ಉಂಟಾಯಿತು।
