सूत उवाच । स तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय गतश्चादर्शनं रविः । दीपवद्ब्राह्मणश्रेष्ठास्तदद्भुतमिवा भवत्
sūta uvāca | sa tatheti pratijñāya gataścādarśanaṃ raviḥ | dīpavadbrāhmaṇaśreṣṭhāstadadbhutamivā bhavat
ಸೂತನು ಹೇಳಿದನು— ‘ತಥಾಸ್ತು’ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ ಮಾಡಿ ರವಿ (ಸೂರ್ಯ) ನಂತರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅಡಗಿಹೋದನು. ಓ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠರೇ, ಅದು ದೀಪವು ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ನಂದಿದಂತೆ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿ ತೋರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
