dhyāyamāno divānaktaṃ devadevaṃ pitāmaham | vāyubhakṣastato jajñe tāvatkālaṃ dvijottamāḥ

ಅವನು ದೇವದೇವನಾದ ಪಿತಾಮಹನನ್ನು ಹಗಲು-ರಾತ್ರಿ ಧ್ಯಾನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಆಗ, ಹೇ ದ್ವಿಜೋತ್ತಮರೇ, ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಕಾಲ ವಾಯುಭಕ್ಷನಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದನು।
