nāsti mātṛsamaṃ trāṇaṃ nāsti mātṛsamā prapā | kukṣisaṃdhāraṇāddhātrī jananājjananī tathā
ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ತ್ರಾಣವಿಲ್ಲ; ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಪ್ರಪಾ (ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ-ಆಶ್ರಯ) ಇಲ್ಲ. ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಧರಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ‘ಧಾತ್ರೀ’, ಜನ್ಮ ನೀಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ‘ಜನನೀ’ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ।
