प्रत्यूषश्च प्रभासश्च अष्टौ ते वसवः स्मृताः । सौ हश्चेत्यश्विनौ ख्यातौ त्रयस्त्रिंशदिमे स्मृताः
pratyūṣaśca prabhāsaśca aṣṭau te vasavaḥ smṛtāḥ | sau haścetyaśvinau khyātau trayastriṃśadime smṛtāḥ
ಪ್ರತ್ಯೂಷ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಭಾಸ—ಇಂತೆ ಆ ಎಂಟು ವಸುಗಳು ಸ್ಮೃತರು. ‘ಸೌ’ ಮತ್ತು ‘ಹ’ ಎಂಬ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಅಶ್ವಿನೌ ಖ್ಯಾತರು. ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಇವರು ತ್ರಯಸ್ತ್ರಿಂಶತ್ ದೇವತೆಗಳೆಂದು ಸ್ಮೃತರು.
