Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 55

लक्षयेयुः कृतादीनि हस्तयोस्तस्य हारिणः । सप्ताश्वत्थस्य पत्राणि भध्नीयुः करयोस्ततः

Transliteration

lakṣayeyuḥ kṛtādīni hastayostasya hāriṇaḥ | saptāśvatthasya patrāṇi bhadhnīyuḥ karayostataḥ

Translation

ಆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯ ಎರಡೂ ಕೈಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ಕೃತಾದಿ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು (ರೇಖೆ-ಚಿಹ್ನೆಗಳು ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ) ಗಮನಿಸಬೇಕು. ನಂತರ ಅವನ ಕೈಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಶ್ವತ್ಥ (ಅರಳಿ) ಮರದ ಏಳು ಎಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಬೇಕು।
