ब्रह्मणस्त्वं सुता देवी तुलानाम्नेति कथ्यते । तुकारो गौरवे नित्यं लकारो लघुनि स्मृतः

Transliteration

brahmaṇastvaṃ sutā devī tulānāmneti kathyate | tukāro gaurave nityaṃ lakāro laghuni smṛtaḥ

Translation

‘ಹೇ ದೇವಿ, ನೀನು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನ ಪುತ್ರಿ; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು “ತುಲಾ” ಎಂಬ ನಾಮದಿಂದ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. “ತು” ಅಕ್ಷರವು ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಗುರುತ್ವ (ಭಾರ) ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; “ಲಾ” ಅಕ್ಷರವು ಲಘುತ್ವವೆಂದು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತದೆ.’
