pattreśvara uvāca | yadi tuṣṭo'si deveśa yadi deyo varo mama | atra tvaṃ satataṃ tīrthe mama nāmnā bhava prabho
Pattreśvara
Tirtha: Pattreśvara-tīrtha (as requested)
Type: ghat
Listener: Mahādeva (Devēśa)
Scene: Pattreśvara, hands folded, petitions Mahādeva at the bank of a sacred ford on the Revā, asking the Lord to dwell there eternally under his name.
The highest boon is not worldly gain but lasting divine presence that sanctifies a place for all pilgrims.
A tīrtha to be known by Pattreśvara’s name—i.e., a Pattreśvara-tīrtha within the Revā/Narmadā sphere.
No direct rite; it requests Śiva’s perpetual sannidhāna (abiding presence) as the foundation of a tīrtha.
