Role: nurturing
Cosmic Event: lokapāla-like directional governance within sarga/sthiti
It highlights Shiva as Prabhu (Pati), the supreme ordainer who establishes cosmic order by assigning rightful authorities; recognizing this governance cultivates surrender and dharmic alignment, aiding liberation.
By portraying the Lord as the active governor of the universe, it supports Saguna Shiva devotion—worship of the Linga as the accessible form of the same supreme Pati who sustains and regulates the directions and worlds.
A practical takeaway is directional worship with mental offering to Shiva as the indwelling Lord of all quarters—japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while contemplating Shiva as the establisher of order and protector in every direction.
