Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadyojāta
Role: creative
Cosmic Event: sarga (ordered creation/lineage propagation)
It situates human and divine lineages within dharmic order, showing how creation proceeds through ordained progenitors—supporting the Shaiva view that the cosmos functions under Pati’s (Śiva’s) sovereign governance even when the verse narrates genealogy.
Though not directly about the Liṅga, such lineage accounts in the Shiva Purana frame the cosmic administration that ultimately culminates in devotion to Saguna Śiva—reminding devotees that worldly order and progeny are subordinate to Śiva’s higher purpose of guiding beings toward liberation.
No specific rite is prescribed in this verse; the practical takeaway is to uphold dharma in household life while maintaining Śiva-bhakti—daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Liṅga-pūjā as the stabilizing spiritual discipline.
