अग्रे सिन्धूनां पवमानो अर्षत्यग्रे वाचो अग्रियो गोषु गच्छति । अग्रे वाजस्य भजते महाधनं स्वायुधः सोतृभिः पूयते वृषा ॥

ágre síndhūnāṃ pávamāno arṣaty ágre vā́co agriyó góṣu gacchati | ágre vā́jasya bhajate mahā-dhánam svā́yudhaḥ sotṛ́bhiḥ pū́yate vṛ́ṣā ||

ಸಿಂಧುಗಳ (ನದಿಗಳ) ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪವಮಾನ (ಸೋಮ) ಧಾವಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ವಾಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ—ಕಿರಣಗಳ/ಗೋಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಅಗ್ರಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮುಂಚೂಣಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಅವನು ಬಲದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ಮಹಾಧನವನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಸ್ವಯಂ-ಆಯುಧಧಾರಿ ಆ ವೃಷಭಸಮಾನ ಬಲವಂತನು ಸೋತೃಗಳು (ರಸ ಒತ್ತುವವರು) ಮೂಲಕ ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
