Sukta 9.77
स पूर्व्यः पवते यं दिवस्परि श्येनो मथायदिषितस्तिरो रजः । स मध्व आ युवते वेविजान इत्कृशानोरस्तुर्मनसाह बिभ्युषा ॥
sá pū́rvyaḥ pavate yáṃ divás pári śyénō mathā́yad iṣitás tiró rájaḥ | sá mádhva ā́ yuvate vévijāna ít kṛśā́nōr ástuḥ mánasā́ha bíbhyuṣā ||
ಆ ಪುರಾತನ ಸೊಮನು ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಶ್ಯೇನ (ಗಿಡುಗ)ನು ದ್ಯೌದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿ, ಮಧ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಸಿ ತಂದವನು. ಅವನು ಮಧುರಾನಂದದೊಂದಿಗೆ ತ್ವರಿತಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕಂಪಿಸುತ್ತ; ಕೃಶಾನು ಧನುರ್ಧರನ ಬಾಣ-ಧನುಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಂಕರನಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು.
