ā́ te ’vo varéṇyaṁ vṛ́ṣantam asya hūmahe | vṛ́ṣajūtir hí jajñiṣá ābhū́bhir indra turváṇiḥ ||

ಓ ಇಂದ್ರ, ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನ ವರೆಣ್ಯ (ಆಯ್ಕೆಮಾಡತಕ್ಕ) ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ಆಮಂತ್ರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ—ನಿನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಬಲವಾದ ವೃಷಂತ (ವರ್ಷಕ/ಉದ್ರೇಕಮಯ) ಪ್ರವಾಹವನ್ನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀನು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ವೃಷಜ್ಯೂತಿ (ಉಕ್ಕುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಪ್ರೇರಕ)ಯಾಗಿದ್ದೀ; ಓ ಇಂದ್ರ, ನಿನ್ನ ಆಭೂಭಿ (ಮಹಾ ಪ್ರಾಕಟ್ಯಗಳು/ಭವಗಳು)ಗಳಿಂದ ನೀನು ತುರವಣಿ (ವೇಗದ ಜಯಶೀಲ)ನಾಗಿದ್ದೀ.
