अयं वृतश्चातयते समीचीर्य आजिषु मघवा शृण्व एकः । अयं वाजं भरति यं सनोत्यस्य प्रियासः सख्ये स्याम ॥

ayáṃ vṛ́taś cātayate samīcī́r yá ā́jiṣu maghávā śṛṇvá ékaḥ | ayáṃ vā́jaṃ bharati yáṃ sanóty asyá priyā́saḥ sakhyé syāma ||

ಈ (ಇಂದ್ರ)ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿದ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿ ಸಮೀಚೀ (ಸರಿದಾರಿಯ) ಧಾರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಹಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಯುದ್ಧಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕನಾಗಿ ಮಘವನು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಈತನೇ ತಾನು ಜಯಿಸುವ ವಾಜ (ಬಲ-ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ)ಯನ್ನು ತರುತ್ತಾನೆ—ನಾವು ಅವನ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಸಃ ಆಗಿ ಸಖ್ಯಬಂಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರೋಣ.
