Transliteration

ná sā́yakasya cikite janāso lodháṃ náyanti paśú mányamānāḥ | návā́jinam vājinā́ hāsayanti ná gardabháṃ puró aśvā́n nayanti ||

Translation

ವಿವೇಕಿಗಳಾದ ಜನರು ಸಾಯಕನನ್ನು (ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು) ಅರಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಪಶುವೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿ ಲೋಧನನ್ನು (ಮಂದಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು) ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಲವಂತನನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತನೇ ಹಾಸ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅಶ್ವಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಗರ್ದಭನನ್ನು (ಕತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು) ಇಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
