Sukta 10.40
युवां मृगेव वारणा मृगण्यवो दोषा वस्तोर्हविषा नि ह्वयामहे । युवं होत्रामृतुथा जुह्वते नरेषं जनाय वहथः शुभस्पती ॥
yuvā́ṃ mṛgéva vāraṇā́ mṛgaṇyávo doṣā́ vástoḥ havíṣā ní hvayāmahe | yuváṃ hotrā́m ṛtuthā́ juhváte naréṣaṃ jánāya vahathaḥ śubhaspatī ||
ನೀವು ಇಬ್ಬರೂ, ಕಾಡುಮೃಗವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವ ಉತ್ಸುಕ ಶೋಧಕರಂತೆ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ಪ್ರಭಾತದಲ್ಲೂ ಹವಿಷ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಓ ಶುಭಸ್ಪತೀ—ಸೌಂದರ್ಯದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳೇ—ಋತುಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಯಥಾಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಹೋತೃ ಜುಹುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವಾಗ, ನೀವು ‘ನರೇಷ’—ವೀರ್ಯ/ಪುರುಷಬಲದ ಸಾರ—ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೊತ್ತು ತರುತ್ತೀರಿ.
