नाहं तं वेद य इति ब्रवीत्यदेवयून्त्समरणे जघन्वान् । यदावाख्यत्समरणमृघावदादिद्ध मे वृषभा प्र ब्रुवन्ति ॥

nā́haṃ táṃ véda yá ití bravī́ty ádevayūn samaráṇe jaghánvān | yadā́vākhyat samaráṇam ṛ́ghāvad ā́d íd dha me vṛṣabhā́ prá bruvanti ||

‘ಹೀಗೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವ ಆವನನ್ನು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ—ಆದರೂ ಅವನು ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರಹಿತವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಧಾವಿಸಿ ಬರುವ ಆಕ್ರಮಣದಂತೆ ಆ ಘರ್ಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡಾಗ, ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ನನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ವೃಷಭ-ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿ ಮಾತಾಡುತ್ತವೆ.
