Sukta 1.33
चक्राणासः परीणहं पृथिव्या हिरण्येन मणिना शुम्भमानाः । न हिन्वानासस्तितिरुस्त इन्द्रं परि स्पशो अदधात्सूर्येण ॥
cakrāṇā́saḥ parīṇáhaṃ pṛthivyā́ hiráṇyena maṇínā śúmbhamānāḥ | na hinvāṇā́sas titirús ta índraṃ pári spáśo adadhāt sū́ryeṇa ||
ಪೃಥಿವಿಯ ಸುತ್ತುವರಿದ ಕಟಿಬಂಧ (ಪರೀಣಹ)ವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಹಿರಣ್ಯಮಣಿಯಿಂದ ದೀಪ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತೀವ್ರ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಗಳಿಂದ ಇಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಇಂದ್ರನ ಸುತ್ತ ಸೂರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಜಾಗರೂಕ ದ್ರಷ್ಟಾರರು ವಲಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದರು—ಬೆಳಕು ಬಲದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವಂತೆ.
