Devata: Sūrya/Āditya (by hymn-context) as the force that renders the unseen ineffective; verse itself is a direct adjuration of hostile agencies

ये अंस्या ये अङ्ग्याः सूचीका ये प्रकङ्कताः । अदृष्टाः किं चनेह वः सर्वे साकं नि जस्यत ॥

yé aṃsyā́ yé aṅgyā́ḥ sūcīkā́ yé prá-kaṅkatā́ḥ | adṛ́ṣṭāḥ kíṃ canéha vaḥ sárve sākáṃ ní jasyata ||

ಯಾರು ಭುಜವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವರೋ, ಯಾರು ಅಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರೋ; ಯಾರು ಸೂಜಿಯಂತೆ ಚುಚ್ಚುವರೋ; ಯಾರು ಗುಪ್ತ ಕಂಟಕದಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆಯುವರೋ—ಹೇ ಅದೃಷ್ಟರೇ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಯಾವ ಸ್ಥಾನವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೆಳಗೆ ತಳ್ಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ವಶವಾಗಿರಿ.
