भरतस्य कैकेयी-गर्हा तथा सुरभि-दृष्टान्तः

अहं ह्यपचितिं भ्रातुः पितुश्च सकलामिमाम्।वर्धनं यशसश्चापि करिष्यामि न संशयः।।।।

ahaṃ hy apacitiṃ bhrātuḥ pituś ca sakalām imām |

vardhanaṃ yaśasaś cāpi kariṣyāmi na saṃśayaḥ ||

ನಾನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೂ ತಂದೆಯಿಗೂ ಉಂಟಾದ ಈ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಪಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ, ಅವರ ಯಶಸ್ಸನ್ನೂ ಪುನಃ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವೆನು—ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಶಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
