O best among men, renowned like a god's son and constantly engaged in vows, here is the boat for you to cross the Ganga flowing into the sea. Do board it.
Sevā and maryādā: offering practical help to the righteous traveler is treated as a duty; respectful address reinforces social and moral order.
At the Gaṅgā crossing, the boatman presents the boat and invites Rāma to board so they may cross.
Respectful service—recognizing Rāma’s virtue (suvrata) and assisting him without hesitation.
