Narada
Vrata: Māgha-snāna (contextual continuation)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches that the fruit of dharmic acts (like tīrtha-snānā, japa, or dāna done in connection with sacred waters) is not uniform; it increases according to the sanctity and scale of the water-body recognized as a tīrtha.
By valuing tīrtha contexts, the verse supports devotional pilgrimage and sacred bathing as bhakti-oriented disciplines—external acts performed with reverence that intensify one’s spiritual result when done at renowned holy places.
It reflects kalpa-style ritual logic (procedure and relative efficacy): choosing a proper tīrtha and timing/place for snāna-dāna is presented as a practical rule for maximizing dharmic merit.
