एकतः सर्वदानानि दीपदानं हि चैकतः । कार्तिकेन समं प्रोक्तं दीपदानात्प्रबोधनम् ॥ ३६ ॥

Transliteration

ekataḥ sarvadānāni dīpadānaṃ hi caikataḥ | kārtikena samaṃ proktaṃ dīpadānātprabodhanam || 36 ||

Translation

ಒಂದು ಕಡೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಾನಗಳು, ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕಡೆ ಕೇವಲ ದೀಪದಾನ. ದೀಪಾರ್ಪಣದಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಪುಣ್ಯಪ್ರಬೋಧವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ ಮಾಸದ ಪುಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮವೆಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
