कनका किनवा विद्या विविधा च प्रकीर्तिता । मेषा वृषाह्वया चैव मिथुना कर्कटा तथा ॥ ८८ ॥
kanakā kinavā vidyā vividhā ca prakīrtitā | meṣā vṛṣāhvayā caiva mithunā karkaṭā tathā || 88 ||
ಈ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷವಿದ್ಯೆ ಅನೇಕ ರೂಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತವಾಗಿದೆ—‘ಕನಕಾ’ ಅಥವಾ ‘ಕಿನವಾ’ ಎಂಬ ನಾಮಭೇದಗಳಿಂದ, ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನರೂಪವಾಗಿ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮೇಷ, ವೃಷಭ, ಮಿಥುನ, ಕರ್ಕಟ ರಾಶಿಗಳೂ ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತವೆ।
