स्वमस्तके ललाटादि दिक्ष्वष्टस्वधउर्द्ध्वतः । ह्रस्वदीर्घकादिकाष्टवर्गपूर्वान्दिशाधिपान् ॥ ४८ ॥

ತನ್ನ ಮಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ—ಲಲಾಟದಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ—ಅಷ್ಟ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಊರ್ಧ್ವದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಹ್ರಸ್ವ‑ದೀರ್ಘ ಸ್ವರಗಳ ಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ‘ಕ’ ಆದಿ ಅಷ್ಟವರ್ಗಗಳ ಕ್ರಮಾನುಸಾರ, ದಿಕ್ಕಾಧಿಪತಿ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಸಾ ನ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು।
