Suta (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights the proper devotional sequence: first stuti (reverent praise) of the Supreme Lord, then disciplined action—here, sitting as instructed—showing humility, surrender, and readiness to receive sacred guidance.
Bhakti is expressed through honoring the Lord (sarveśa) with praise and then aligning one’s behavior with the Lord’s will (ājñā). Devotion is not only emotion but obedient participation in dharmic order.
It reflects ācāra (ritual propriety) foundational to Vedanga practice: correct preparatory conduct—offering stuti and taking one’s seat by instruction—before engaging in technical or sacred discourse.
