Kṛṣṇādi-mantra-varga-varṇana

गरुडेति पदस्यांते चूडाननशुचिप्रिया । शिरोमन्त्रो गरुडतः शिखे स्वाहा शिखा मनुः ॥ १४३ ॥
garuḍeti padasyāṃte cūḍānanaśucipriyā | śiromantro garuḍataḥ śikhe svāhā śikhā manuḥ || 143 ||
ಮಂತ್ರದ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಗರುಡ’ ಎಂಬ ಪದವನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಬೇಕು. ‘ಚೂಡಾನನ-ಶುಚಿ-ಪ್ರಿಯಾ’ ಇದು ಶಿರೋಮಂತ್ರ; ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ‘ಗರುಡ’ದಿಂದ ‘ಸ್ವಾಹಾ’ವರೆಗೆ ಶಿಖಾಮಂತ್ರ; ಶಿಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ವಿನಿಯೋಗ್ಯ.
