जलस्वप्नाग्निभयं गजसिंहभुजङ्गतः । भयं जन्मजरान्ते मरणादिशब्दमीरयेत् ॥ १७८ ॥
jalasvapnāgnibhayaṃ gajasiṃhabhujaṅgataḥ | bhayaṃ janmajarānte maraṇādiśabdamīrayet || 178 ||
ನೀರು, ಸ್ವಪ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಅಗ್ನಿಯಿಂದ ಭಯ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆನೆ, ಸಿಂಹ ಮತ್ತು ಸರ್ಪಗಳಿಂದಲೂ. ಜನ್ಮ–ಜರೆಯ ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯದಿಂದ ‘ಮರಣ’ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಉಚ್ಚರಿಸಬೇಕು॥೧೭೮॥
