नामार्णान्यचतुष्कात्तु द्वितीये मंत्रवर्णके । चतुष्के चेत्तदा पूर्वं यत्र नामाक्षरं स्थितम् ॥ ८ ॥

ನಾಮಾರ್ಣಗಳು ಚತುಷ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಮಂತ್ರವರ್ಣಗಳ ಎರಡನೇ ಚತುಷ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ—ಚತುಷ್ಕ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸಬೇಕಾದರೆ—ನಾಮಾಕ್ಷರ ಇರುವ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೊದಲು ಇಡಬೇಕು.
