सौम्यायने क्षत्रविप्रानितरां हन्ति दक्षिणे । द्विजातीं श्चक्रमाद्धंति राहुदृष्टोरगादितः ॥ ८९ ॥
saumyāyane kṣatraviprānitarāṃ hanti dakṣiṇe | dvijātīṃ ścakramāddhaṃti rāhudṛṣṭoragāditaḥ || 89 ||
ಉತ್ತರಾಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ (ಗ್ರಹಣ) ದೋಷವು ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೊಡೆದು ಬೀಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ದಕ್ಷಿಣಾಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ದ್ವಿಜರನ್ನು ಪೀಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ರಾಹುವಿನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ಸರ್ಪಾದಿ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಚಕ್ರದಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
