Sanatkumara (teaching Narada on technical determination related to dharma and time)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It frames Jyotiṣa (astral calculation) as a dharma-supporting tool: by reading time through the Sun’s course and the lagna, one aligns actions with cosmic order rather than mere impulse.
Indirectly: it supports bhakti-practice by emphasizing proper timing and order (kāla-dharma), which traditionally helps devotees perform vrata, japa, and pūjā with steadiness and discipline.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa—using the Sun’s movement through signs (starting with Aries) and related divisions to determine the lagna/ascendant and interpret outcomes across houses and associated factors.
