ಲೆಕ್ಕವನ್ನು ತಿಂಗಳಾಗಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿದಾಗ—ಮಧು, ಶುಕ್ಲ ಮೊದಲಾದ ತಿಂಗಳ ಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಣಿಸಿದರೆ—ಅದು ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರಗಳಾಗಿ ವಿಭಾಗವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ: ಸ್ಥಾಸಿ (ಸಾವನ) ಮಾಸ, ಧಿ (ಚಾಂದ್ರ) ಮಾಸ, ಗ್ರಾಸ (ಸಂಯೋಗ) ಮಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಸೂರ್ಯ (ಸೌರ) ಮಾಸ।
