द्विगुणेष्टहृतं रूपं श्रेष्टं प्राग्रूपकं परम् । वर्गयोगांतरे व्येके राश्योर्वर्गोस्त एतयोः ॥ ३३ ॥

Transliteration

dviguṇeṣṭahṛtaṃ rūpaṃ śreṣṭaṃ prāgrūpakaṃ param | vargayogāṃtare vyeke rāśyorvargosta etayoḥ || 33 ||

Translation

ಇಷ್ಟ ರಾಶಿಯಿಂದ ಭಾಗಿಸಿ ದೊರಕಿದ ರೂಪವನ್ನು ದ್ವಿಗುಣ ಮಾಡುವುದೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಮ ‘ಪ್ರಾಗ್ರೂಪಕ’ (ಪೂರ್ವರೂಪ) ಎಂದು ಕೀರ್ತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ವರ್ಗಯೋಗ ವಿಧಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು, ಈ ಎರಡು ರಾಶಿಗಳ ವರ್ಗಫಲವನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ।
