tāsu durgākathātyaṃtaṃ puṇyadā cāṣṭameṃ'tare | tatpaścātpraṇavotpattistrayītejaḥ samudbhavā || 9 ||

ಆ ವಿಷಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಟನೇ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ದುರ್ಗೆಯ ಕಥೆ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪುಣ್ಯಪ್ರದ. ಅದರ ನಂತರ ಪ್ರಣವ (ಓಂ) ಯ ಉತ್ಪತ್ತಿ ವರ್ಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ—ವೇದತ್ರಯದ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದದು॥
