tatsaptadaśasāhasraṃ sucatuḥ saṃhitaṃ śubham | yatra brāhmāḥ purā proktā dharmā nānāvidhā mune || 3 ||
ಆ ಗ್ರಂಥವು ಹದಿನೇಳು ಸಾವಿರ ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ, ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸಂಹಿತೆಗಳಾಗಿ ಸುಸಂಯೋಜಿತವಾದ ಶುಭಸಂಕಲನ; ಹೇ ಮುನೇ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾಜನ್ಯ ಋಷಿಗಳು ಪುರಾತನಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನಾವಿಧ ಧರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿದರು।
