एते देवगणाः पञ्च स्मृता यज्ञभुजस्तथा ।

मन्वन्तरे मनुश्रेष्ठे सर्वे द्वादशका गणाः ॥

ete devagaṇāḥ pañca smṛtā yajñabhujas tathā | manvantare manuśreṣṭhe sarve dvādaśakā gaṇāḥ ||

ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಈ ಐದು ಗಣಗಳೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಯಜ್ಞಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವವರೂ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಮನುವಿನ ಮನ್ವಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದ್ವಾದಶ ವರ್ಗಗಳಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
