पात्रलक्षण-परिक्षा (Pātra-Lakṣaṇa Parīkṣā) — Criteria for a Worthy Recipient
ये चैनमनुवर्तन्ते ते न यान्ति पराभवम् | नते प्रेत्य विनश्यन्ति गच्छन्ति न पराभवम्
ye cainam anuvartante te na yānti parābhavam | na te pretya vinaśyanti gacchanti na parābhavam ||
ಭೀಷ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವವರು ಪರಾಭವವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮರಣಾನಂತರವೂ ಅವರು ನಾಶವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಪತನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗದೆ, ಅಧೋಗತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
