Āvāhāryaka-Śrāddha: Qualifications of Recipients, Paṅkti-Pāvana, and Exclusions

श्रुतिविक्रयिणो ये तु परपूर्वासमुद्भवाः / असमानान् याजयन्ति पतितास्ते प्रकीर्तिताः

śrutivikrayiṇo ye tu parapūrvāsamudbhavāḥ / asamānān yājayanti patitāste prakīrtitāḥ

ಶ್ರುತಿ/ವೇದವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮಾಡುವವರು, ಯೋಗ್ಯ ಪೂರ್ವಜಕ್ರಮದ ಹೊರಗಿನ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಿಂದ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದವರು, ಮತ್ತು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾನರಲ್ಲದವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಯಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿಸುವವರು—ಅವರು ‘ಪತಿತ’ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ।
